Shopping Cart Sends Empty Or Incorrect Artwork To Clients

I have two buyers who asked me to choose prints for them with specific sizes of each. I should be able to send my shopping cart choices/link to the buyer for them to simply click on , open it up, and purchase items at checkout ????? Is this correct? It doesn’t work- sends incorrect artwork, even sent some not so tasteful prints, and or is empty!!! Please advise!!

Hi Cynthia,

Your shopping cart will have your prices and if a customer could purchase them you would receive no markup.

I am not understanding why your customers cannot choose what they want and purchase it themselves?

You could send a link to the customer of the item they want to purchase - just like you would post it on Social Media.

Hi David, thanks for your response. It’s a situation where I am the designer and I am “purchasing” the prints for the room for the client. My markup happens from the “design work” , so to speak. I just thought it was interesting.also another example.. A family member asked me to send my pick of prints for a beach house so I just sent my shopping cart link with multiple prints and the sizes - which was the important part of the “job, she said when she opened the FAA shopping cart link it was full of “other themed” artwork! Lol IDK, I was curious as to what I may be doing incorrectly with sending the shopping cart link.

If you are sending art to clients - maybe the best thing to do is create a private collection - just for that client - and give them the password.

Excellent! I will try that. Much appreciated!

If you want to frame them first, you can do that and then just favorite the framed art on that page when you're done. Then you can just send them a link to your favorites.

I went ahead and tested it for you, I framed an art and then favorited it and now if you click it in my favorites it will display it framed and ready to go into the cart:

No, Kall3bu, I don't think you can view your favourites from your site, because you would have favourited other artists as well, most probably.

And that site is designed to show only your works.

Absolutely, Lucia

We don't show other artists, or those areas, on your premium sites

Thank you Abbie for clarifying!

Wait, because to share your link to your cart you need to be logged in, so if you send that link you will not be paid. This is my understanding.

It's OK if you don't want to be paid because maybe is your family.

Once I could do this but I don't remember how!!! ( not from the cart, I copied from the favourites, but I must look into it...)

Ah now I remembered!

You frame it in your site. Then UNDER Add to the cart you favourite it.

You will then see it in your favourites in Fineartamerica and you share it from there, it will be your site!

Thanks for the conversation! I didn’t realize how to use this option.

Thank you Cynthia for your kindness!

Thank you Kall3bu for your kind appreciative comment!

And thanks a lot to Abbie who previously explained it :)

Actually, Kall3bu, you don't put it in the cart.

You select the image, you frame it and then you go UNDER Add to the cart but you don't put it in the cart, you just favourite.

It was my pleasure and it was good for me as well to review it :)
