About Mike Norton

Mike Norton

My photographic art combines old school photography with the latest digital processes. I photograph landscapes the traditional way, on film with a 4x5 inch Field Camera. My landscape images are infused with all of nature’s colors. The yellows of autumn, the reds of sunrise, and the blues of twilight have all found their way into my images. To produce my landscape prints I use a camera designed in the nineteenth century, transparency film first produced in the twentieth century, and twenty-first century digital technology. It seems that my creative process is firmly rooted in all three centuries of photography.
