Peggy Ellis

MY STORY I grew up spending summers in Avalon, NJ, a magical, breezy spit of land where I learned to swim, fish, sail and paint. Through these idyllic years, one favorite activity was joining my father, artist Ray Ellis, as he painted watercolors perched on the tailgate of our family station wagon. Inspired by his incredible talent, passion and perseverance; I continued on my own art journey. While living in Boston and raising a family, I continued to be mentored by my father, while also studying with other accomplished artists, including George Shedd, Edward Minchin, Andrew Kusmin, and Nancy Russo.
