Description
Moonlit Autumn Night
This is a painting of an autumn night lit by the full moon and the afterglow of the setting sun. On this night the fall trees appeared luminous in the dusk and moonlight. The shining full moon was rising in the twilight. It was cold with leftover patches from an early snowfall. The wind was lifting mist rising from vaporizing snow.
It was on a quiet empty road through the woods, with trees glowing a vibrant orange, vivid enough to be seen at night. The colors blazed intensely in the light of the radiant moonrise. The dark passage between the moon and trees leads to another bright tree far ahead.
The brilliant foliage contrasted with the remaining blue of the evening in the nocturnal light. It was at the peak time of color in the autumnal season between October and November. It was dark but the light appeared almost blindingly bright. The wind and light seemed to take a circular motion around the moon, rotating towards the ground and then up across the sky.
