Artist's Description

A beautifully illustrated antique, vintage map from the year 1887, of an aerial view of the town of Grafton, Worcester County, Massachusetts. This wonderfully nostalgic piece of history is from the Public Domain, and is by O H Bailey, published in Boston. Surrounding the map, a series of insets show illustrations of landmarks, such as Grafton Centre Rail Road Station, Quaker Mill, Town Hall Block and a selection of churches, private residences, manufacturing premises and public buildings. A reference list also indicates the location of various buildings of note in the area at the time. This reproduction map has been restored and converted to black and white but still shows signs of wear and tear due to age.
