The Hamburg was developed in Germany and Holland and dates back to almost the 1600's. It is classed as a small breed with the cockerels only weighing up to 5lb and the females up to 4lb.
The Gold Penciled Hamburg is a stunningly exotic bird to look at with beautiful laced plumage with a neat rose comb. These birds are renowned for being hardy and good eggs layers.
