About Nick Busselman

Nick Busselman

Born in St. Louis, MO, he and his immediate family have been residents of Florida, North Carolina, Missouri (twice) and California (thrice) at various parts of their lives. Nick eventually settled in California to finish high school and attend UC Santa Barbara where his dream of playing international volleyball in Italy died, thanks in part to a knee injury and a lack of vertical leaping ability. Instead, Nick renewed his focus on his studies and received his BA in English, graduating in 2001. He was also the first student at UCSB to receive a peculiarly named specialization in “The Culture of Information” through the university’s Transcriptions Program.
