This mandala harmoniously incorporates many symbolic elements of spiritual significance.
The "Aum" symbol is said to represent the pure sound of Creation and the singularity of God - a mystical syllable sacred to Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism, often used to facilitate deep meditation.
The lotus flower, which begins as a humble bulb in the muck at the bottom of a pond and grows toward the surface to emerge into the light in full bloom, represents Spiritual Awakening.
Also present are wings (divinity, freedom, the grace to rise to any challenge), stars and hearts entwined with flowing organic forms to create a beautiful and meaningful design.
