These old Hammer / Adjustable Wrench tools were a very important accessory for just about every motorist on the road. They serve a dual purpose, both a hammer and an adjustable wrench. I think that the hammer side of the wrench was to vent your frustration out on the car that broke down. At least that's what I would have used it for!
You can see that this one has been used many times, and the head is mushroomed from all the pounding it was used for.
I often shoot both sides of an item so that they can be used as mirrored images in presentation. I like the way matching images look on a wall. -YoPedro
