Description
The Subaru 360 Young SS, a well known trim level for the JDM version of the car with many notable features, among them transparent covered headlamp assemblies and a provision in the fiberglass paneled roof for mounting a surfboard. This example is carrying an 8 foot longboard.
The car was concieved by Fuji Heavy Industries in 1958 to compete in the Japanese government's newly created kei car class, which restricted width, length, and engine displacement.
The car is nicknamed the "Ladybug" in Japan, and bears a passing resemblance to a Volkswagen Beetle.
