MODEL RELEASED. Fitness test. Doctor assessing the fitness of an athlete on an exercise bicycle. The athlete is breathing into a mask that measures his oxygen consumption. The equipment on his back is used to measure a number of other physiological parameters. The resulting data are used to deter- mine the body's ability to cope with exertion, and to develop athlete's personal fitness regimes. Photographed at the Centro Sportivo, Rome, Italy.
