Need Facebook Help

Constance, I might be wrong, but Facebook has been wonky for me the past few days. When I see I have a chat message notification, I can't get the message to actually show. That's been happening about half the time.

Also, I got some kind of weird "time out" message because it somehow posted my comments as coming from one of my business pages instead of my personal page.

So maybe you're getting some FB tech problems too?

I don't know . someone else suggested I might have been hacked! how would I even know that? hopefully in a few hours, I'll try again and it will be all right. It sure would be nice if management from Facebook provided a way to communicate.

Facebook is changing groups and pages. I suggest patience

Where are you looking for your groups? There is an icon on the top of Fb for groups. Can you get your groups from there? Are you using the share under the image and not getting any groups? Mine works fine.

Could be a glitch. It happens a lot on fb. Try again at a later date.

My Facebook seems odd too. I agree with Abbie - usually odd stuff like that sorts itself out if you wait.

Constance I doubt you were hacked. Most people that say they were hacked were not - they were cloned.

I know frequently I will have to switch Profiles to FIND some of my Groups. Some Groups allowed me to join as my Page (like FAA) but most groups only allowed me to join via my personal profile. So if I am in my Page profile mode I have to first switch to my personal profile to find those groups.

Same with messages. Some messages I receive via my Page, others via my personal profile. So I can’t FIND a message at first, until I am in the correct Profile.

I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook, lol.

Donna, what you describe has been quite frustrating for me too. They've made it very non-user-friendly, haven't they?

Also, if you are sharing an image from FB to a group, make sure that image is a "public" one (and not simple showing to "friends") or you may not be able to share it.

The problem is they continually change everything. I notice that sometimes I think I am on my profile but have somehow been switched to my page. Also, sometimes you can't share to groups from your profile. They are called "communities".
It is very frustrating to keep up with Social Media in general. They all have their issues. Twitter has limitations in how many characters you can post with your image. Instagram won't let you post live links to your images. I gave up on LinkedIn a long time ago.

I don't know whether I am coming or going with Facebook recently. They have made it so complicated having my floral page and my normal FB profile page.
There were always bugs and now I feel as if FB is eating itself up with so many changes that even they can't keep up with it all.

It could be so good, but they keep on tinkering, and I know they usually fix the bugs eventually, but they keep on creating more and more!!
But now I know I am not the only one having the same problems. It's a bit like gaslighting, I thought I was losing my marbles wondering if it was me who was going stupid in my dotage!

I called tech support and they said I was not hacked. I was not receiving notifications for several weeks. I also noticed the closed many groups and there are many unhappy people.

When I want to share a photo from my business page to a group, I also have to switch to my profile name and then all my groups come up

Donna's image is right on the money. If you follow the steps as shown in the picture you shouldn't have any trouble switching profiles to your group page. But, the privacy setting of the post you are trying to share is likely the issue. I find that is the first problem people encounter when they are new to facebook is there are some posts you just can't share, because the original poster didn't make it available to share with the public, but rather their friends, or in a specific group.

Check the group rules about sharing. I have an Fb group and I don't allow sharing images
