I recently noticed FAA is now a Verified Merchant on Pinterest. Thank you, Sean, for doing this! It's something I've been suggesting (nagging about) for awhile.

This means our products are more easily found by prospective buyers on Pinterest.
You can read about the Verified Merchant Program here:
https://business.pinterest.com/en/verified-merchant-program/
Unfortunately it's not possible for individual FAA artists to join the Verified Merchant program with our premium Pixels sites. For that you'd need a Shopify site or another e-commerce site that you own. We also can't run ads for our FAA products on Pinterest - again you can only do this with a site you own.
In any case, this is really good news for FAA artists who use Pinterest. Especially now that Pinterest is moving towards become a shopping platform.

Beverly,
What does this mean exactly for those of us already on Pinterest, HOW will anything change/improve?

Rich,
This means our pins from FAA are seen by more people who are searching for what we are selling. FAA products now show up in the Shop tab option in general searches and in suggested pins which are shown to users viewing individual pins. I included a link to the Pinterest Verified Merchant program in my original post which describes all the benefits of the program.

Very good news, thanks to Sean and the whole FAA team!
I posted it several times in the monthly suggestion discussion. FAA is now on par with other PODs.
I will sprinkle in some FAA Pins now and then, but will continue to pin mainly from my claimed Pixels Premium Website (which gives my Pins a way better reach on Pinterest).

Nice! Thank you Sean! and thank you Beverly for the information!
I will now start pinning more products straight from my faa/Pixels profiles!
Still I will pin art prints from my website though since I went to all the trouble to claim it.

Beverly,
Thanks, I think! LOL! Just went to my Pinterest site and they are asking for me to download "pincode" now? What's up with that? What does the pincode do? HOW do I tie FAA to my Pinterest account? It's already "connected", is this somehow better?

Rich,
Your claimed premium site is connected. You don't need to connect your FAA profile. As others have said, you should continue pinning from your premium site. You can also pin from your FAA profile & these pins will be more visible than they were before FAA became a verified merchant.

Beverly,
Thanks, almost making some sense! LOL! I've always in the past pinned from the Pixel site, but are you saying there is an advantage to pin the SAME image from BOTH sites???

Rich,
As others have suggested & I tend to agree, it makes sense to primarily pin from your premium site. But yes, there is now a reason to pin some of the same images from FAA.
Maybe Matthias can chime in here, but from the looks of FAA's Pinterest profile page it appears FAA has mostly uploaded T-shirts to their account - not their entire product catalog.

If that is true, then the FAA prints on Pinterest are mostly those pinned by others. So it would make sense to pin some of your own pins from FAA for increased visibility in the shop search and suggested pins.
I'm not a Pinterest expert & am not qualified to offer advice. I know Matthias has an online course you could take if you want to learn more about what to pin.

I don't think that's what she's saying Rich, and knowing Pinterest's penchant for being overzealous with punishment regarding spamming I'd think twice about doing that.

Susan,Beverly,
Thanks for the clarification. Hearing from an "expert", like Matthias would help some of us.... Seems like an "Effort Vs Result" thing and that needs to be examined fully before diving head first into a new chore....

So this only works if we pin from FAA and not Pixels? Guess I'm not understanding how it works if we can't join it? Do we have to pin to their board?

If you guys click on the link Beverly provided you'll get more info about the program. Just add pins as you normally would but pin from your FAA site sometimes. As Matthias says, sprinkle some in with your artist website pins.
From the link: "The Verified Merchant Program helps shoppers discover and buy from vetted brands. It’s free to join and makes your brand stand out. Plus, merchants in the program see a 17% higher conversion rate, compared to merchants who don't participate."

I looked at it but she said "Unfortunately it's not possible for individual FAA artists to join the Verified Merchant program...."
This is when it would be really nice for FAA to offer some of the products only Pixels offers bc anymore, I rarely ever promote FAA. I've been doing all from my AW website and only from Pixels when I upload an image.

I've tried joining but it requiring a CSV, XML or TSV file so doesn't look like something you can do by just sharing your FAA HTML URL. I don't have a shopify account or other e-commerce site so guess won't work for those of us who don't have that.

When I look at my saved pins from my AW they all have little prices on them now. I haven't paid any attention to Pinterest at all since they erroneously tried to accuse me of spam, is this something new? They also seem to be arbitrarily just picking any price from the page. Makes no difference to me, but I thought if it was new you guys might wanna know about it.
