Didn't we do this house? I could have sworn we did it or something like it. Or am I seeing the future again?

I remember the house, but it seems I never did anything with that one. Just one like it. But i'm like 80% done, i'll finish it tomorrow.

I like it Roger!
Here is my first try.
A cozy cottage has been transformed into an Irish tea room, a charming place for tourists and travelers to visit for a relaxing afternoon break. There is purple wisteria growing all over the face of the historic home and a colorful handpainted sign hangs on the door to let passersby know the place is open for business. There is a bright red bird perched on the shrubery outside the door as if his job is to welcome all visitors.

nice work Holy Rock Design!
Here is my second try...
A sad lady sits in window of her ivy covered cottage looking out the window in the darkness of night waiting for her man to return... from here you get to make up the rest of the story. Was he gone to war? or just to the pub?
My husband was watching me create this image and helped me name it with a light hearted play on words to help dispel some of the gloom. We decided for us, her name is Mrs. White and she is waiting for Mr. White, ( he was gone wabbit hunting and said he would be wite back.)

There is a certain kind of charm living out in the country. You can open the windows to get that fresh country air, the mild smell of dew on the grass, the scent of flowers in the air. It's quiet out there, maybe a little too quiet for some. But it's much easier to hear the birds singing, and the various animals frolicing.
Off in the distance you can hear a cow mooing, now is the best time to get a freshly squeezed bottle of milk. And while you are out you can bike over to get yourself some freshly baked bread from the neighbor, and pick berries along the way.

My third and final entry
An abandoned cottage stands neglected and badly in need of repairs. It has been many years since anyone lived in it or cared to tend to it and it is now overgrown with wild vines and the wood is deteriorating. Some one could get a good deal on this historic fixer upper!

1.. An actual print of a drawing I made of the Edit This 65 photo
2...A book I own (FERAL COOTS- The Saga of Modern Feralgenaria)
3...A box of Crayola Crayons, I bought solely for this photo
4...And my ACTUAL left hand

It's been a long day at work, and you just got home for a much deserved weekend off. Your two dogs wait eagerly to greet you from behind the side gate. The leaves on the ivy growing on your outer walls are nice and green on this summer's day. You ignore the front door, as you won't be going inside just yet. Instead, you will wander into your backyard with your adorable dogs and enjoy the peaceful colors of the giant geode that surrounds your house. What a way to relax!
This is my third entry to this contest, and by far my favorite!

I have revamped my previous submission of a panoramic version.
I've added additional elements, shadows, and blurred the clouds. I added a lady stomping grapes in a barrel which is on a stand while another lady pours the juices from a faucet on the barrel into a pitcher. I also added wine bottles resting on top of the brick wall, and a sign that reads, "Now Hiring... Large Feet Required" (just a little bit of humor). I added a man on a cell phone with a backpack, walking his bike and some distant birds in flight.
The ladies squashing grapes was a capture I made 7-26-08 at a wine festival in Crownsville, MD.
Since this is a panoramic image, it has been truncated (cropped) by FAA. You must click the pic to view the entire image.

The minute I saw the original, this version popped into my head - it took a lot longer to create it than to think of it!
It was fun - thank you for the original, Jack Torcello!
AND, this time I'm actually entering it - the only other one of these I did quite a while ago, I only posted it here... duh!!! (but I see I am not alone...he, he)

Seessshhh... posted it twice! How does that happen?
Maybe should have another club for all of us who really actually didn't do that!

Dreaming of Merano:
Ever been to Merano, in Northern Italy? Truly a dreamy place!
A pretty city and a valley surrounded by the Alps, together with a wonderful climate made this destination a favourite spot for Princess Sissi.
Inspired by a great vacation, Dreaming of Merano is a beautiful painting showing the view from one of the open air Spa that Merano is reknown for.
This artwork includes a house, a photograph kindly donated by Jack Torcello, that I painted in red.
Thank you very much, Abbie and Jack!!
