Everyone post your links to your social media again. Post your Pinterest threads. And everyone post at least ONE TIP that you think can help others. I just combed through the entire old thread for you guys. I used the search function searching TIP. These are what I found:

TIP: Twitter is a finicky beast, so when you are starting to build your following and starting our promotion, go slow. Pace yourself. Spread out your RTing (ReTweeting)...Don't follow and follow too many people at once. Twitter doesn't like it if you do too much at once. So just RT a handful, follow a few people, etc. each time you log in. For awhile, I was doing the ladies first and then the gents a few hours later. Over time, Twitter lets you do more and more. Now I can RT as much as I want.
Twitter gets used to your activity and you can increase it over time. This keeps you out of Twitter Jail. It only lasts 3 days, but the beds are hard and the food is awful. ;)

TIPS: A tip for getting new Twitter followers and RTers...If you post a "bird" and pin it to the top. Go search hashtags that have to do with birds. Find a post that has a lot of RTs....look at who is RTing that image and follow some of them. Not only do many follow back, they have started RTing my work. :)

Once in awhile find a big artist or someone that has a lot of followers and gets a lot of RTs and RT one of their images and leave a nice comment. At the end include one of our hashtags. Some start using the hashtags. :) Some have started following me and RTing my work too.

If you see work that resembles yours in some way and it is getting a lot of RTs....Look at who is RTing that art. Follow some of them. I quickly read their tagline to get more non-artist followers. If they are happy to RT that artist's work, then they would be happy to do mine too. And it is actually working! :) I get new RTs from these folks all the time now.

TIPS From @Douglas: My tip is to mix your posts up, tweets etc. Promote the products that your art looks best on, one day it can be wall art, next day show off a coffee mug/tote bag/shower curtain/iPhone Case etc.

TIP: I’ve added both hashtags to my bio (profile) on twitter and i search the hashtags from there

TIP: When you RT do everyone else FIRST! Then promote your own. That way your stuff will be at the top and we won't have to scroll through a million we've already seen to try to find your new posts. I only scroll about 10 dow and then I will untweet your pinned post and RT it to get it exposure again. That is fair. But if you do everyone else FIRST and then do YOUR NEW ONES, I can RT those easily. :)

TIP: Pin a new post to the top of your Twitter each day, to make it easier for us to find you! RT those that RT your pinned post. That simplifies it a lot.

TIP::::Keep in mind that Twitter is all about catching someone's eye! If you can post some larger images (you can put watermark/copyright info on them) that will be more likely to be seen and Retweeted. I will go and hunt down larger images in your media if you just post a bunch of links directly from FAA with tiny itsy bitsy images....I want my followers to go "wow" when they see YOUR work and MINE...and WANT to Retweet it. I want them to like seeing stuff from me in their feed. Not just clogging it up with things they can barely see. That is how you get unfollowed.

TIP: Do Retweet images and quotes without links a handful of times a day. This tells Twitter you are not just a sales seeking barracuda with nothing but links posts.

TIPS===============>If you come in here and dump your links and we all follow you and Retweet and share your work and you do not reciprocate, this campaign will not work for you. You will get a nice initial boost, but then you will go nowhere. I've seen it many times. This is a TEAM effort. If you are not a TEAM player, just don't bother. It's ok. Not everyone is. Know yourself. Go do your own thing with our blessings. But you will not get the great results everyone who IS a TEAM player is getting here.

TIP=============>If you have a tiny portfolio and are not producing new work, this campaign may not work well for you. People get bored easily and if they see the same thing from you over and over and over, they tune out. It's ok if you have a small portfolio. It's ok if it takes you 3 months to complete one piece. This isn't a judgement call about you or your work. It is letting you know that this type of campaign, may not work as well for you as someone who has a diverse gallery who is constantly adding new work. People like novelty. At the very least, offer up different products with your art if you do not have many images. Offer it on prints, mugs, puzzles, etc. Give them something NEW to see and consider.

TIP============>Follow people back. It helps you in the long run to build a community of peers who support you and you do so in return.

TIP==========>Put up your BEST work. If it's blurry, cropped poorly or just an average picture of a gray rock, some of us will not want to Retweet or share it. What we RT and share reflects on us. We don't want to come across to our followers as lovers of poor quality and boring stuff.

TIP=========>Comment on other people's stuff once in awhile. At least once or twice a day. Just say something nice. Interact. Twitter algorithms love that! And you are building a sense of community filling it with people who WANT to support you.

TIP=============>We all have crap days. But please leave the negativity out of this thread as much as possible. It's not fair. Someone else might need just a little word of encouragement for the day. So if you don't have anything positive to add to the TEAM, just go have some tea and read or meditate or whatever you do to make yourself feel better. The World is ugly enough. We don't need to add to it here. If you are not having success (however you define it) here, it's ok to say that sometimes. But also, LOOK for something good happening. Maybe you are getting more traffic. Or you made a friend. Or someone commented on your art and it made them smile. Maybe you liked someone else's art a lot and it inspired you to create more. Positivity goes A LONG way in here and in life in general. Just try it....

TIP==============>Follow Non FAA people. Retweet some Non FAA people. Comment on some Non FAA people. I believe this is what will lead to sales more than anything else. DID YOU SEE THIS TIP. :)

TIP=============This is a longterm endeavor. Not a get rich quick scheme. You have to build your following, create new work for them to see, market it to them often and regularly and you must be patient. You also have to reciprocate others, so they share you with their followers. It's like dominos...

TIP: Expanding on what I said earlier...diversity is a GOOD thing! No matter how gorgeous your rose picture is, there are 8 million more rose pictures just like it. This is just the reality. So you have to always be thinking of ways to stand out...be slightly different (or dramatically different) from everyone else. If you live in a touristy place, take pictures or create art based on the little out of the way places....someone has a sweet memory there. If you like photographing roses, try adding unique quotes or poems to them. Something that will "speak to someone". If you look at some of the better sellers on FAA, you will find they usually have large portfolios with a wide variety of subject matter, styles, etc.

A tip I would give is to use your own image for posting in social media instead of using the FAA share buttons. Those will create a small image in Twitter and a pin that cannot be modified in Pinterest.

I second the commenting part. I've been adding comments to both FAA posts and Non Faa posts. I've seen a higher engagement % and more link clicks

You covered quite a bit with the tips so I don't have anything to add at this time

I do have a question if engagement is better by spreading your posts out or several at a time. I'm afraid if I post several in a row that Twitter may see that as spamming

I do some of both Chad...sometimes they are spread out as I post when I list a new piece and other times it's a few in a row. I do schedule 5 posts a day spread out by about 4 to 5 hours apart.

I generally concentrate on Twitter and Pinterest. I post on Twitter maybe 10 of my images a day, spread out by about an hour. Plus, I retweet the BuyIntoArt hashtag every couple of hours. I make sure that all my new images have a pin created on Pinterest, and I post one of those per day (sometimes two - one in the morning, one in the evening) in the various Pinterest groups that I'm part of. I do post an image on my Facebook page (not my personal one) every few days, and I generally post newly-edited images on Instagram, but it sometimes takes me awhile to get those uploaded to FAA.

I've noticed that a paid Facebook ad gets me a whole bunch of views, but so far no sales. I have one running right now that has gotten 1600 link clicks, and that's reflected in my GA as well.

Tip: On Instagram, you have to follow people, like posts, and make comments on stuff you really like. This is how you gain followers.

John...I probably gave FB well over 1K and all I ever got were clicks but zero sales...that was enough of a trial for me. Not sure I even believe the clicks...

I tried FB ads...never did anything for me. I get more traffic to my FB photography page using #hashtags than any FB ad

My tip, to Alezios' point about the small image when using FAA's share button. You can right-click on the image you would like to post, then click "Copy Image". Delete the small image and paste the one you copied. This works with all products.

I do have a Pinterest account and always have such good intentions about it, but I can never remember to do anything with it.

My Tip well, comment, take a look and interact all across many different themes and topics, there always seems to be someone out there who replies from the Tweet ocean and/or the FB jungle.

I love all of the tips in this discussion! Since I don't feel like I have anything useful to contribute, I'll share some encouraging words. I've helped and mentored 2 of my nieces into becoming selling artists and this is something I have told them. Whether you are in the creative process or promoting your work - let it come from a place of peace and have faith things will work out exactly the way they are supposed to. It's not always easy, but I think it's important to approach everything with calm, positive energy. You can still make smart business decisions and amazing art from there. Finding balance between your creative side and your business/intelligent side is key to being a happy and smart artist (and person).

I have a few tips for Pinterest:

First, try to make fresh pins whenever possible. I use canva and add some text or make a quick mockup that looks different from the FAA mockups. ( it is okay to use them too when you are in a hurry but Pinterest might not consider them fresh images since they all look alike with the same sofa or chair.)

Make sure you use recommended image size which is 1000x1500 px (that is why I use canva so often because it makes that part easy)
This helps increase your reach somehow.

Also you can use the create pin tool on Pinterest to schedule up to 30 pins per month and Pinterest loves it when you use that scheduler.

and try to pin things that have nothing to do with promoting sometimes and repin other peoples pins too.

Finally, if you can, claim your artist website. I had to ask Pinterest support to help me do that and then follow thier instructions. It was easy but it took 3 days. I see better numbers on my pins from my site now that I did that.

One other thing about Pinterest pins, hashtags are searchable internally and externally and the boards are evergreen. meaning that they don't sink into oblivion the way tweets do.

No kall3bu, you can pin from whereever you sell from. I just wanted visitors to know where our team comes from. Redbubble or pIctorem or blogs are fine too. As long as you are a member of the team use the board to promote your work freely. I only ask you to keep it family friendly :)

@Donna That is what I am doing with Pinterest right now...I have nearly 5K followers...So I have boards...When you pin to my boards you get exposed to all of my followers. When I pin to other people's boards, I get exposed to their followers.

Right now my focus is Twitter...It is what works for me. I am also working on building a following on IG with an emphasis on trying for followers that are not other artists...IG is slow going, but I am making progress!

Once I master Twitter and IG, I may see what else I can do on Pinterest. Facebook is a dead fish for me and has been for years...It worked in the beginning, but not anymore.

So don't overwhelm yourself. Just focus on Twitter for awhile...pin stuff to our boards if you like. It's easy to like on IG, so I do that every day easily without much extra time or effort.

I have pretty much done only my Facebook and Instagram. Love them both. Instagram is SO easy to scroll down clicking on all the hearts. I don’t often leave comments, I’m afraid.

I will focus on Twitter now, as you suggested. One thing at a time is probably best (and less overwhelming) :-)

Donna, the best thing about Pinterest is that it isn't really a social media. It is more like a bookmarking site and search engine. People who go to Pinterest are looking for specific things and they can find relevant pins and boards even if they (the pins and boards) have been on there for years.

What Sharon described is the basic benefit of group boards. It gives us extra exposure. You can star a pin (pinterest equlvalent to liking) that helps the original pinner get more reach. you can save pins to your own boards if you like. it is not neccessary though. Since it is not social media it works differently. I have a little over 2K followers but I get almost 600K monthly views. We are targeting the Pinterest shoppers with our theme and hashtags. People do shop on Pinterest everyday. you will get exposed to my followers but you will also get exposed to the shoppers looking for art who find our group board through keywords.

I hope this makes sense. Repins do help too if you want to do that.

Adding: don't worry too much about your followers or views. a couple of months ago I had over 3 Mil monthly views and then Pinterest changed their algorithm and I dropped all the way down to 600K but I still get traffic and sales from there to my other PODS and affiliate links. The most important thing is to pin to relevant boards. Make boards with boring names like Neckties for pinning neckties. Mugs for mugs etc... Then add hashtags to the board description and your pins if you can. Whatever the board name is will help determine how your pins are found by the search engine inside Pinterest and big guys like Google.

I'm going to have to study how the Twitter analytics work. My normal organic impressions are usually in the 800-1400 range on any given day but today I have nearly 3000. I'm wondering if that is how many people are seeing my tweet.

I mostly only do Twitter & Facebook, with an odd visit to IG. I’m planning on hitting Pinterest to give that a serious go, during the first lock down i had huge number of unique monthly followers, but i got no sales so lost interest. I never had many actual followers, but with our campaign and the success it is bringing, i think Pinterest is worth another go.

SOME TIPS ON TWITTER, PINTEREST, INSTAGRAM
As mentioned, Tweetdeck is incredibly useful.
If you are logged into Twitter , in your browser go to tweetdeck.twitter.com

As for followers, I check the profile, then follow (or not!). I have found that most follow/unfollow people will unfollow in up to three weeks. Every three weeks I check who followed, usually I followed them back, those who unfollowed get discarded.

Pinterest: Some good tips above! I follow people/ get followed, but that does not seem to count for much.
What seems to count is views, and if you can claim your site on Pinterest you can get some good stats.
As far as I can tell, making a board and 'dump and run' does not work well. Sure, make a board for your stuff, but make some boards to share, invite people, join other boards. And not just Art.
I have a coffee board, (my interest, yours might be sport, gardening etc.) I find new pins most days, people like them and repin. Some follow the board, or me, but the key point is- if they repinned from one of my boards, Pinterest at some point will present something by me to them. As I pin original art a few times a week, they will probably see my fresh pins.

I have art boards, product boards, on some I ask "Pin one, repin one" that seems to work for me. When I pin to someone elses board, I repin one from there. Did it for a month, more views. Stopped the repin bit, less views. The logic seems to be, repin others, yours get seen more. Like RT.

As for clickthroughs, on average the same per month from Twitter or Pinterest, but older pins come up often.

Idea pins: attract a lot of attention. Definitely more clickthroughs.

Instagram: think local as well as global, I follow and share (stories) local news, events, business. For example, when I paint the local park, I tag the park admin, they love to share anything different from hours and the same old photos. It goes in their stories etc...

Exhibitions: I photograph the work, the artist, the gallery, generally for my own reference, this year I started to put them in Insta, tag them all, put them in a story that gets shared. Generally gets more followers, contacts, people remember.

Great advice James, especially about the Pinterest interests! I have lots of boards that have nothing to do with promoting and I try to update them every so often. Like my Doctor Who board and My Oklahoma board among others. I also think it helps if you sometimes just take a break and don't pin anything for a few days every so often. The more you look like a human instead of a bot the better. :)

Ps, all of you on Instagram are making me miss it there. I haven't been active for over 3 yrs but I might fire it back up again if I can just forget that FB owns it now. :D

I am starting to work on Pinterest...so I am of no great help Kall3bu...Hopefully those that are more experienced will help out. I've only used Pinterest as a dump site.

But now I am doing pins manually sometimes with proper titles and hashtags. I just did an idea pin per the suggestions above. I am re-pinning others again...baby steps...

Pinterest is so confusing. So I noticed that when I joined those Group boards that you all were kind enough to invite me to, those boards ended up on my Pinterest page. So really then, there is no need for ME to create a Group board, is there? Because it appears these Group boards are already among my other Boards.

You can create your own boards and join other people's boards. It's all good. You don't have to create any boards for this promotion. There are already quite a few. So just concentrate on what you want your pinterest to look and be like on top of these shared boards. :)

Welcome Stefano! To get results here you do have to cross promote others. Retweeting others helps you. Trust me on this. We get a lot of folks who just drop their links and run off....that's fine if your goal is just to get a few more artists following you. But if you want to increase your traffic, engagement and hopefully sales, then it's all about "others' and not about "self". Sounds paradoxical...but it actually works!

Finally got a small round of RTs done. All kinds of computer/internet problems this morning...possibly from the overnight storms. Taking forever for a tab to stop spinning and actually open.

We went for a lovely bike ride this morning at the park...fresh air....birds....and a 9 to 10 foot gator....typical Florida...lol

But I made it out alive and still got all of my Retweeting done. :)

I take screenshots Denise. I do it a multiple of ways...I sometimes type copyright info over an image when I am working in Photoshop and use that image for Twitter. Sometimes I use the furniture shots. Or I hover over my images so the box with the info appears on the screenshot. This helps with theft. I then upload the screenshot and put in all of my hashtags and link. You can look at my Twitter to see what I do. That is the best way to learn...click on our Twitters and see what we are doing. We all have different ways we do it.

So cool Sharon! You reminded me of long ago and far away (about 40 years ago) When I lived in Crystal River. Gators and aligator gar, manatee and moby dick sized grouper were some of our favorite wildlife to watch for. :) Thanks for the memories!

Denise, I sometimes screenshot with my snipping tool and sometimes I right click/save image and then upload and add tags. I have also been known to make special graphics in Canva. You can use the free version and get very nice images for advertising with.

How many retweets a day should I do? Two, five, ten ? I have no idea ...

@Stefano...There is no set amount. But what works best is to space them out throughout the day at first especially while Twitter is getting to know you. So do say 10 to 15 in one round...then later do another 10 and so on. I don't think there is a "cap", but if you go and Retweet 100 posts in rapid fire, they will spank you.

The same goes for following and unfollowing. Don't follow 100 people in rapid fire. Just follow 10 or so that you want to follow at a time. As you build, you may want to unfollow some. Same goes. Just don't do it ALL at once.

Hey everyone! I would love to join this team. I have been looking for new marketing tools and want to give this a try. I am willing to do this with my Twitter account. While I do have Pinterest, I think Twitter will work best for me in this case. So I have just done retweets on 10 members here and will do more later (don't want to be in jail LOL).

My tip is that I use buffer to do my Tweets. I just use their free account and scheduled a couple of tweets per day. I may start scheduling more than that. I really like many of the tips I read here.

Keep in mind there is more than one way to measure success...We all want sales of course! But we've found that through this campaign, marketing isn't such a lonely bore...we've made friends...we've increased our following...we are engaging with more non-FAA people (potential customers)...we've increased our traffic...and we've learned A LOT about marketing and using Twitter...My old thread has other benefits listed at the top. It can take TIME to get the momentum going...Most of us have been doing this for around 6 months now and are just seeing some sales as a result...which is kind of amazing since the economy isn't the greatest at the moment and most threads complain about less sales. We aren't complaining about less sales in here. :)

So again welcome to all of the newbies...Jump right in and ask questions...someone will answer. If at anytime you feel like this campaign isn't for you...just bow out. If you want to come back....you are always welcome. :)

Welcome to all the newbies, good luck and Sharon is offering some great advice, if your unsure about twitter, keep an eye on what we are doing, then copy if you like, i like to mix up what images i add to my posts, i like promoting the product images like canvas prints or/and coffee mugs etc.

I also sometimes add two links to my post, 1 of the product and another of the collection from where the product image has come from, this shows more of what you have to offer, i also may add two product image links to one post/tweet, Canvas Print and Coffee Mug etc.

It’s all about enticing the viewer to open the links.

Welcome ALL newbies!! Remember to FOLLOW BACK...and to share and ReTweet others. This is the only way this works in your favor. If you aren't a part of the TEAM, you will just get a few new artist followers (not buyers) and a few Retweets in the beginning (it's a numbers game that you will lose if you just want others to share your work). Great news @CMD! I cannot say it's been my best May ever, but it's been quite good for me while most other better sellers are complaining of sales in the toilet. My monthly average over the last 5 months on FAA has not dropped at all. It just goes up. This is my only source of income, so I am quite pleased. :)

Congrats on the sales, i saw a couple of notifications today, well done Sharon, Aimee & OBT.

I'm really enjoying participating in this group and especially seeing all the great art and photography.

I had to rethink the way I normally had been doing RT's because I usually just RT'd all at once everyone who had visited my work. Didn't know there was twitter jail (lol) so now I'm RT'ing 10 or so at a time and coming back later to finish up. I keep seeing some saying "Finished round 1 or round 2." Did I miss something in the instructions or tips? Is there a set number of times we're to visit daily? I know Sharon has said there are no set rules but I want to be like all the other kids here. :)) I just come and go throughout the day to RT and usually RT/like more than one image for each person I visit.

I did have 2 nice sized canvas sales Thursday on 2 pics I had tweeted several weeks ago. Don't know if the sales came from Twitter or not but maybe!

Question: How often do you change your pinned tweet? Do you change it often, wait until it gets a certain number of RT's or no set criteria?

Btw, HH Photography doesn't tell you much. My name is Helen for those who don't already know.

Most of us RT 2 or 3 times per day...When I first started RTing others, Twitter would cap me on how many I could do, so for awhile I did the ladies in first, then a few hours later did the gents and then did that 2 more times for a total of 4 times per day....Now Twitter allows me to do everyone in 1 round. Twitter makes you build up slowly to things....once you get a huge following and they "know your routines" they give you more leeway to do more...So there is no "set" and you are not doing it wrong. :)

Just a little reminder...Please try to post your VERY BEST work! I have never once said anything negative in here and I will tell you right now it will not become a habit, but pay attention to what you are posting. It is extremely difficult if not impossible to RT images that are super blurry or really dark. This isn't a subject matter issue. This isn't a judgement on your value as a human being. It's a quality of image issue. I am not talking about images that have an intentional blur around the focal point. I am talking the entire image looks like I am not wearing my glasses. I am not talking about a vignette effect. I am talking about images where I can barely tell the subject matter. If it is a squirrel, I should be able to tell that straight away. If you ever wonder why I RT an image you posted 3 weeks ago instead of your pinned post...have a look at that pinned post and self critique. I try to RT every single person who supports me, but there are times I have to skip or spend valuable time scrolling looking for a suitable image to RT. You also are not likely to sell something of poor quality, so it's in your best interest to correct the images or leave them off. I hope this is helpful and not hurtful. The intent is to help elevate...

I think I’ve followed everyone and I appreciate the follow backs! I reached 100 followers on Instagram yesterday which was a milestone for me. Still learning the social media promotion, but I’m pretty sure the increased activity is due to this group. No translation to sales yet but just happy to be getting my work out in the (electronic) world. Really appreciate the discussion and tips!

I really appreciate when people use the team hashtag #buyintoart, both on Twitter and on Instagram. I’m not finding a lot of images searching for the hashtag on Instagram though.

I follow a lot of non FAA users on Instagram, so if you all could use the hashtag #buyintoart there then you would be easier for me and others to find you.

I do several short sessions each day when I have a free moment, so the hashtag really makes the most efficient use of the time, since I don’t have to scroll through all the non FAA images. I go to both Instagram and Twitter and simply search #buyintoart and then look at the most recent images. SO easy.

Use the hashtag! Including on instagram! :-)

Edited to add, on Instagram I scroll through and whenever I see Sharon has liked an image, I do too, lol. I rely also on what others of you have liked to alert me it’s an FAA artist. I give FAA artists priority now.

I agree Sharon and some days I just don't have the time to go dig for a better image. I hate to skip folks but I think I am hurting myself when I RT them anyways. Editing can be one of the hardest jobs. When I go trough my files there are days I will only choose a handful of images even if I photographed over a hundred. Sometimes I am to critical and during searches I find a gem. But I rather am critical than post something I deam just good enough.

I need to get back to promoting more regular on IG and Pintrest again. When I do I use our hashtags.

I have just started using the hashtags on IG recently...I've finally built up a following there and think I have the hang of it.

TIP: On Instagram...you can comment on your own posts and add the hashtags that way. They will then show up when anyone searches the hashtag...So I am going back and adding the hashtags to some older images on IG by commenting them.

@Kall Absolutely you can use the #BuyIntoArt image and slogan I created. I RT it periodically. Douglas also has videos. The more the better!

It's SUMMER in the U.S...I've been selling my art online for 20 years now. That's 20 Summers!! What have I learned about Summer...It's long....it's hot...and people aren't thinking about home decorating so much...so...it's a GREAT time to:

*Create and add New Work that will be ripe and ready for the Holiday season
*Promote your work so it's indexed and searchable when people are ready to buy again
*Clean up your portfolio by removing sub-par work.
*Clean up your keywords by removing any that don't apply (especially Trademarked names you don't have a right to use...That will get your stuff removed from FAA and they don't tell you...it just disappears and if you have a large portfolio, you may never figure out what went missing). Add keywords that DO apply.
*Learn the ins and outs of all of the Social Media platforms. Build a following so when the buying season arrives, you've got tons of eyeballs on your work!
*Start a blog.
*Add and adjust your work to more products if you haven't already.

And don't forget to take care of yourself too....read...get some sun...do some fun outdoor activities....plant something....give yourself a break as Summer's are not kind to artists historically. So don't let it get to you. :)

Just noticed something on instagram. Did my usual search for hashtag buyintoart and went through the most recent images, giving them likes. Then I went and looked at my feed. Sharon, I came across two of your most recent images, one an angle the other I think was called love song. Oh, I said to myself, she must have forgotten the buyintoart hashtag. Nope, they were there! So now I am wondering how much we can rely on the search results.

I’m probably just gonna go back to looking at my Feed there, otherwise I’m worried I’ll miss a bunch of buyintoart images.

I know there is usually not a big delay. My images I post there with midcenturycat hashtags show up immediately as the most recent when I search that hashtag. So not sure why those of Sharon’s were not in the results when I searched via the buyintoart tag.

DId my Sunday morning rounds

That is interesting @Donna! So I went and added the hashtags via a comment for those two images and like magic they now appear in the search for the hashtag!! I did have to "refresh", but it's automatic. Make a comment with a hashtag and it shows up in "latest". So weird...But what we just learned is this TIP: Make sure important hashtags show up as a comment on your image. That seems to get priority. You can make your own comments. But maybe don't do this too much as we know SM wardens don't like if we do anything too much.....When we comment on others, include the hashtags so they get seen!!

I cannot depend on my "feed" because what IG shows me is my most recent follows in droves. I might see 25 posts from the same person. BUT.....this is not to be a "worrying" thing. We aren't like the other tit for tat groups. Just do the best you can. It's what we are all doing.

IG is the most restrictive of ALL of the SM platforms...I can only make a max of 10 comments in one session. I can only "like" a handful. Then I get the little notice I can't do it anymore. I can come back in 30 minutes and do stuff again. But it's horribly difficult to do much at one time.

Sharon, if you don't mind us using your words in the opening post, I think I will try to splash it around FB. FB is still saying that hashtag is used by less than a thousand times.

Yes you can use them Katrina....I don't do anything on FB...It was great in the beginning, but now all they want is money from me. I've spent over 1000 advertising with them and got ZERO sales. If I don't give them constant money, they hobble me so much it's useless to me. So I don't use the hashtag there...I just dump there real fast and move on...

Thank you for those wonderful tips for summer. I love to learn from someone in the know. I plan to do just that if I can. I am going to take screenshot of it, as it soon will get lost. I have lots of work from my travels to add to collections, but I can get overwhelmed and sensory overload. Especially too, since my time is pulled by so many other people and things.

I also appreciate the information about Instagram and adding the hashtags in our comments.

I do need to get better about Pinterest, wishing I knew how to make that work for me.

glad you liked my promo image. I made it in Canva and posted in on Pinterest and Twitter.

I am always trying to come up with fresh images for Pinterest so I don't get dinged.

So far Twitter hasn't given me any trouble for multiple posting or follows. I try to space it out or schedule tweets but then there are days like this weekend when between my rl and trying to also work on my other platforms I don't get much tweeting in until late at night. Maybe that helps ? I don't know.

Back before I left Twitter in 2020 I had about 12K followers and I used to retweet all day long and they never throttled me or spanked me for it. Social medias are so fickle... lol

@ Janet. Just keep pinning when you can and add hashtags. It took me years to build my Pinterest up to where it is now. Pinning to my boards and Sharon's should help with your promos since we are already established there but as far as your own account goes, add a board of personal things that interest you a couple times a week and pin or repin non promotional stuff. Then maybe add an art related board here and there and pin your art among repins from other people. If you have time in the future create a few idea pins. They don't have live links but they get favored treatment by Pinterest as far as views go.

But don't stress out about any of it. The one thing I learned about Pinterest all these years (since 2012) is that as soon as I start to get good at it they change it up and I have to readjust and relearn.

@Sharon probably Instagram needs more time, just like Twitter, to let you like and comment more posts. I don't have a limitation, but I've been using it for years now. Also the equivalent to Twitter jail would be becoming shadowbanned in Instagram.

Regarding what you see in your feed you can press the instagram logo at the top left. Select following to see the chronological feed. There is also a favorites option there.

Also IG is really bad at showing your posts to your followers. At least for me. I get a 1/5 reach. I get much more views from the hashtags.

When I click on the IG logo it just refreshes my feed. I don't have a choice to select "following"....Maybe you have a business account. That may be why you see different things and don't get hobbled. Getting a business account on FB was the kiss of death...so I've been hesitant on IG.

YA'LL.....I MADE MY FIRST IG DIRECT SALE!!!! I advertised my "stickers" yesterday and someone bought one and told me so. :) It's just a sticker....but that could be a gateway drug to the art addiction we want them all to have...lol So I am super happy!! I might start doing a "sticker of the day" because they are fun and you can get one for under 10 bucks with shipping. I tend to have repeat collectors...so a sticker could be a great way to start collecting! I can report back on how it goes...

Sharon, I wish I could bottle up some of this rare cool May weather we are having here in OK. today, it is 56 degrees and raining. After last week in the upper 80s and 90s it actually feels cold to me.

But my garden should love it.

Hi all, happy to be back! Our vacation (in lovely Spain) is over now and I'm ready to rumble -- and tweet :-)

There is proof people are buying smaller items now...At least on FAA/Pixels...In the last week and a half I have mostly sold greeting cards and stickers and very few prints (mostly all of them purchased with the discount of 20% FAA offers.) On another POD I have sold many large prints for great profit as I set my own commission there as well. That POD has been having successful sales lately. It all works out for me, but just noting the change on FAA/Pixels. I normally sell a lot of large prints and many without the discount here.

Selling more stickers...I ain't getting rich off of them...but I look at it this way...it's a "gateway drug" getting them hooked on collecting art...LOL Plus it keeps the FAA algorithm happy...It likes when we make ANY sales...

What i am noticing is people are only buying the "cut out type" stickers and not the rectangles of solid imagery. I've sold none like that. But my cute animals that are cut to shape and such are what is selling. Requires making some PNGs....

I just tweeted 2 of my designs which are perfect for stickers. Every sale counts and the traffic will help as well. Stickers are also something young kids can affort on their allowance.

I’ve just tweeted a couple of stickers, hopefully i can hit a few sales from the two i’ve tweeted. I have some of my stickers on my Taxi, they are decent quality, but i’d prefer if the white background was the default setting.

I have to get with it on Twitter, home life is really distracting me lately. I am also working my hinney off trying to reach 1000 uploads here. I don't know why but I feel like I might get a breakthrough with once I get there.

Shelli, relax when I first started I was all about the numbers. Some stated that if you have this many or that many sales will come. Trust me when I say it is better to have the quality. Take your time and make sure your collection is strong. You will get there. No reason to stress and just because you have a certain number of sales doesn't just magically start happening. That is all in marketing and promoting. You will get there one image upload at a time. Stress kills the love for art and you don't want that to happen.

I think I will go back to RTing gals and guys separately and doing 4 rounds per day. As @Kall3bu has noted...you get better stats. I also had more sales doing it that way. While I do not go to jail for doing everyone at once, it may just be too much for Twitter to like. I looked at my analytics and definitely did better with 4 sessions a day vs. 2.

Welcome Collins, hopefully this campaign will inspire you to create, upload and promote using the hashtags and hopefully you do one or two daily, that way you will build a following quickly, it takes time and patience, it’s not a sprint, but is definitely an infinite game of create, upload, promote.

Sorry for being MIA on Wednesday. My laptop (which is only 4 yrs old) has been acting up for the last month and Wed. morning it totally went kaput. Fortunately, I backed up most everything a week ago after not doing a backup for ages ... like a year. This taught me how important it is to back up our work - in more than one place if possible. My life is on my computer and I get chills thinking of possibly losing it all.

Anyway, spent the day transferring everything to a new computer I bought when it looked like the old one was in trouble. Hopefully will be able to get back on track with RT'ing today - Thurs.

I have been Tweeting and Retweeting in stages throughout the day for the past couple of weeks, will monitor my statistics and hopefully new sales.

I am done with my first round. Quite a few need to upload some fresh work. I comment but that too will only go so far.

I am starting to skip those that do not have FRESH WORK. I have so many people to RT now that consistently RT me that it makes no sense to keep RTing images I have already RTd a ton. My viewers need NEW stuff to get excited about. :) I am also starting to skip really DARK images or really BLURRY images. I may also bypass images that look like common everyday I am on vacation taking a picture of something that only interests me kinda pics. Not being mean, but I want my followers to associate me with QUALITY.

I don't blame you, Sharon. It pains me to leave people behind, but as a professional artist I go by the mantra: " You are only as good as your last work" I will put on my big girl pants and get more firm on who I RT. I have a central air conditioner to replace and need to make sure customers love what they see on my feet and buy my art.

Kall don't feel like you need to upload new work. When you see your visitor stats simply give those images which have not gotten so many visitors some love and tweet them. I do that from time to time myself when I have no time to upload new work. I admit the 365 day challenge got me into fast drive to create work every day.

I use to get offended when other artists did not Rt me or yet others would e-mail me because I somehow skipped them. Some of those e-mails where rude and nasty. At the time it was simply because I did not use a list and they did not show up on my twitter feet.

That said it benefits each and everyone of us when art is refreshed and changed. For that same reason I also look for diversed followers. Yes it takes work, but that is the art business. It is not all for fun and giggles. Professional artist rarely have a back-up income and the luxury to slag on their marketing, branding and image. I do have to make an income from my art. If I don't I don't eat and certainly can't continue making more art.

Sometimes fresh work is difficult to come by. I imagine that painters have dry spells where they just don't feel any inspiration, though I don't know that for sure. I'm a photographer, so I need things to shoot. Over the past couple of years, I've done so much exploring within say 2 or 3 hours from home, that I'm running out of interesting places to visit that can be done in a day trip. Because of that, I don't have as much new stuff recently. I love visiting new places and shooting the beauty (or decay) of wherever I am, but now I need to do that in something longer than a day trip, unless I happen to come across a place closeby that didn't show up in other searches. Although I am going for a road trip to other areas of Ontario that I haven't visited yet, plus doing a trip to Newfoundland soon - I'm hoping to get a whole bunch of good pictures from those trips.

I'm currently at 669 images, and I tweet them all equally. That is, when I tweet one image, I don't tweet it again until I've tweeted the other 668. I usually tweet around 10 images a day, so at that rate, I won't retweet an image for over two months.

John that is a pretty good system. I agree I am a painter as well and need to get back into painting. But life has been busy. Photography allows me to add new work. Working in macro even more so as I have a greater range. My goal right now is to branch out more and diversify.

@Kall....I have never once skipped you. You have some variety even though your portfolio isn't massive. That's ok. You do upload different images. You also change up your products and that is good. YOU get more RTs than anyone in this entire thread. Your numbers are always high. So I am not sure why you think that Me or Iris were referring to you. I know I RT you every single day even when you were on vacation.

I am talking about people who only list the same 1 or 2 images over and over and over. There is one artist who puts the same image up every single day! The same exact one. I've RT'd it a hundred times, but now...not interested in RTing it anymore. If they don't want to RT me...that is fine. I have no hard feelings.

And severely dark and/or blurry images...well...It's fine if you don't RT me. I just cannot RT images that are of such poor quality.

And that is the beauty of this promotion. No one should feel pressured to do anything. If you are feeling pressured, then you are pressuring yourself. Everyone has their own opinions and way of doing things. You will not like all of them. Guaranteed. Do YOUR thing. Do what YOU think is best for YOU! Don't worry about who RT's you or not.
Just do what feels good for your soul and your business. I RT some art that I just really like....and those people never RT me. I am not upset about that.

There are also times I RT someone's and in the same session see one of theirs that REALLY catches my eye...I RT that one too. The whole tit for tat thing is just life sucking...Life is too short for that...

The biggest joy for me with this promotion is the giving me a reason and the motivation to create and market in new ways, i love mixing it up, my strategy is to tweet 5 at a time, sometimes i may throw in an extra 1, i then save a copy so i can share to my FB page and then some get sent over to IG once i’ve added more info and hashtags. I retweet the original 5 once more, normally 12 hours after the first time, i can then over time retweet them twice so as to show my tweets first on both of my twitter profiles, but also to get more bot visits, this helping getting my images indexed.

I tweet 10 new ones daily, two subject matters as my twitter accounts are different, 1 for photography 1 for Art.

I’m happy with this way, but no obligation to retweet my tweets and no issue whatsoever if some of my tweets are not retweeted.

I’m just happy to watch and learn and try new ways to create, hopefully i inspire others to try new ways.

I guess one of the first things I had to learn the HARD way as an artist is to have a REALLY tough skin! I will not repeat all of the insults I have gotten along the way. Direct and very mean insults. People would email me just to insult me. People would leave insulting comments on my blog and my work. My early work was not very good in many people's eyes. Yet a lot of it sold...ha ha I am unfazed now...Again, life is too short for that...

Kall if I don't follow a list. If I do not see people on my feet I might not RT them. So far it has not been about the quality of the art. But this is the very reason I have stopped Rt lists. I do not want to tit-for-tat feeling. I know some who have similar work will not follow nor RT me and that is totally fine. It makes sense from a business point. I am sure there are plenty of times I have been skipped. I don't keep track. Those who RT me are the first to be RT. If I have time I go further. But I do not run a search on our hashtag every time I RT. It is ok to not be a pro artist. Being an artist is not for the lite of heart. The art industry can and is brutal. Few will continue art past 5 years of graduating from art school. There is a reason for that. To stay in the running a pro artist has to look at the bottom line as much as at the quality of work. It is personal for the pro artist because a lot is on the line for them.

Prior to going back to study art, I was a professional chef. I opted to work for high-end restaurants and hotels because I did not want to simply open cans and bags and heat them up. It simply was not for me. I finally left because so many companies opted for cheap and fast and not quality. As a restaurant customer, I look for quality and know if I go for cheap I can't complain about the quality.

I know it hurts egos when others do not appreciate our work. I just had someone tell a friend of mine they did not like my abstract work. At first, I was put off and then I thought that is all right. After all, we all have our preferences and like different art. Life would be boring if it was any other way. As artists, we want to build a following and attract collectors. Being selective to what art to RT is also showing respect to those who follow us.

Just done a round on my Art twitter account, did a round on my photography account earlier and both done this morning, some new tweets added (7) may add a random tweet later, trying new ways and promoting variety is the way i’m going to go, im lucky i have a large amount of images and still creating new work, onwards and upwards.

Would like to know how/who others pick to RT. Do you RT off of Sharon's #BuyIntoArt group list? Do you RT everyone who RT's one of your particular images? Do you RT all who are in your Notifications feed or a combination of all of these? Everyone who is on the list isn't participating in RT'ing others who are on the list. Right now I work between my Notifications and click on each of my images and RT all who have RT'd that image. Just want to make sure I get everyone.

When I don't have anything new to tweet or don't have time to put up something new, I click on the Media tab, scroll way down to some really old posts and look for something that didn't get much love the first time around. You can also RT several so you'll have fresh stuff at the top of your feed for this new group to see. Best to do this after you've finished RT'ing others so YOUR images are at the top.

I mix it up HH, i search the #BuyIntoArt hashtag and also look for those who retweet mine if i don’t see any tweets from them when scrolling through the hashtag search, i also have some of my favourite artists & photographers in my search bar that i retweet regardless of wether they use the hashtag or not.

We all have our ways of how and what we retweet and that way is the best way that suits me, that’s how it should be, no obligation of course, i respect that.

Any and all of those ways are fine Helen...Whatever works best for you! The list isn't up to date anymore as some have dropped out.

IG has become even more restrictive for me....I now only get 25 posts in my feed. It used to be unlimited. And they show me a lot from the same people over and over again. I shouldn't be surprised that it is like FB. After all, it's the same company. The more followers you get, the more interest in your posts, the more likes and comments, the more they restrict you and the less they show your stuff to others....Seems a huge waste of time. But I did sell one sticker...LOL

@Sharon Interesting observation. I've noticed the feed changing LIVE as I was scrolling down after liking posts (I use IG solely on the PC); what I mean is if I like, say, an NPR post , whoosh, I see the feed pulling in more NPR content, seemingly at the expense of others. Very annoying. If I follow someone's feed I want to f'n see their posts, not have them hidden from me.
I mostly do hashtag searches now, like #buyintoart , to see them all (or so I hope). Same on Twitter.

HH, I'm still using Aimee's SpringIntoArt list, though I should probably adjust that. But I retweet everyone's pinned image from that list every morning (at least, the ones that I haven't yet retweeted). Then I search BuyIntoArt and retweet the ones I haven't yet retweeted.

hi, wow I missed alot today... I want everyone to know that I never want you to feel obligated to RT any of my tweets.

Also that I do not take it personally if you skip me... and I hope you don't take it personally if I skip you. If you haven't changed your pinned tweet I will usually check your media to see what I haven't already RT. I try to change my pinned tweet often or at least make sure there are some fresh tweets. But I also share from other platforms and totally understand if you don't want to retweet thoses tweets.

specificaly to Helen. I usually go to the hashtags and sort by "latest" then I RT one from everybody I find there that I haven't already RT. I also will RT other people who follow me and RT me as often as I can. It gets harder the more followers you get. Right now with this new account I am still below 2000 but before I quit Twitter in 2020 I had over 12 thousand followers and it was impossible to reciprocate every single one.

Adding: I also usually tweet late at night (central time) because that is when I have some down time... So if you don't see me during the day you will probably see me the next morning, unless you live on the other side of the globe from me and then you might actually see me while I am tweeting. LOL

I don't follow a given list. I make sure I RT those who RT me and if time allows I look for others whose work I admire. Then I go an extra step and find new people whose art I like. Those often turn into new followers. Those who Rt me get first dip on my time.

FB and IG do feel the same. Once they see you take off they want you to pay for ads to be seen.

Guys, listen to this. I never pay much attention to the analytics here, but I glanced just now. My top 9 most visited images this past week were among those that I tweeted in the past eight days. Can you believe that? The top nine images! It has to be because of Twitter and your retweeting them. I’m amazed. Before I started using Twitter my top images were always the same ones and the visitors were the usual robots. This is awesome.

Edited to add my daily visitor count has also increased by nearly 50%.

That's great Donna! Just be patient...for me it has lead to more sales....especially at a time when a lot of the better sellers are complaining of less. But it is Summer....Historically, that has been slow for art sales....So I am just staying the course and hoping for a bang up Fall/Holiday season!

Donna, I just had a look at today's stats. I've pinned 11 images today, and 10 of those are my most visited images today. My top visited image today is today's pinned tweet (which I actually tweeted sometime later yesterday, but only pinned this morning). I imagine most of those visits are from bots indexing Twitter, but I'm not complaining.

Donna, All of my most visited images are the ones I've tweeted. It's so gratifying and shows how effective this campaign is!

John, I thought the same thing, maybe these are just bot visits, but I’m familiar with the usual bot locations, and these were not the usual bot locations.

Jodi, that’s what I thought, that it HAS to be cause I used Twitter for these. I recognized the images since it takes me a bit of time to add the watermark and get them ready for tweeting.

I don’t particularly care about giving tit for tat regarding retweeting. I don’t have the time to get into all that, and besides, I’m happy retweeting everyone, even those who may not always retweet my images because who knows that they might be going through rough times, and need the extra support.

Just recently started looking at the analytics and still trying to learn from that...

Getting ready to start my morning RTs. I do 5-10 at a time, pause for a bit and repeat several times. Then my day gets tied up with other things such as going to Mom's like I will be doing in a few hours. My next RTs are usually late afternoon and then I try and get some more just before bedtime.

First round done. We had a soft rain overnight and my floral models are singing this morning. Thanks for the Rt's you guys have been busy last evening. So appreciated! Off to do another garden safari, then to teach a special autistic young woman art and after that, I will be back to another round.

A little request for Twitter: maybe don't retweet campaign retweets but rather seek out the latest own post? It's easily found by clicking on the top left thumbnail in the 6-image panel on the top right of the page, even if it's buried under RTs. TY

@Western...Most of us RT whatever you Pin to the Top...if we've already done that, we hit "media" and grab your latest. I think it accomplishes the same thing you are requesting...

@Sharon Maybe I should pin to the top then. I got RTs of my RTs but not of my morning tweet, and it's not shite LOL. ☺

Extremely busy at work today and Edinburgh is a tourist magnet, next few months are going to be busy busy, but i’ll still manage to get a couple of rounds in on both my twitter accounts. I’m going to do one of my accounts in the morning (UK time/Evening time Western USA time) and the other around 4-5pm UK (8-9am Western USA time) Time. I will also do random tweets & retweets throughout the day.

I have been watching the 2022 French Open Tennis Tournament, at Roland Garros, in Paris, France. Week one is complete. It’s recorded, as I don’t watch it starting at 3 AM. In between taking care of my 90 year old mother-in-law with dementia, my husband, and a 6 month labradoodle given as a gift by my kids, to help me deal with my stressful situation. My art is my creative outlet when I can fit it in.

It's no secret I sell pretty well. I make 100% of my income from my art sales and am happy I can survive. But I was stale. I was bored. I needed something.

I am glad I came up with this idea for many reasons...I needed to kick myself in the butt and do some real marketing...I had gotten super lazy...lol But what started as an idea to get a hashtag to trend turned into so much more! I am ESPECIALLY thankful for all of the wonderful people I've met through this. I love working together as a TEAM. It really feels great! And I do celebrate with you when you make sales. I feel kinda like a "momma hen" all puffed up with pride...LOL I also really enjoy how we share, learn and grow together. I think that part is priceless....

Thank you Shelli. FAA sight lists them as a hand towel, bath towel, and a bath sheet. On our AW, there is only two listed, and called a beach towel, and a beach sheet. I am planning to Tweet some beach towels, totes, mugs, and stickers, as recommended by Sharon and others, since customers are gravitating toward small items.

I am also taking to heart what Sharon said was good about the summer. Uploading new work, going through our work already there, etc.

TIP: Make sure to use good hashtags other than the TEAM hashtags....If you post bird, there are a lot of great bird hashtags to use besides #bird #birds....There is #birdlover #birding #birdsofTwitter, etc. One trick I use to find hashtags is to type in the main part such as "bird" and then I add an alphabet letter like a, b, c or s, l, m to see what comes up. I find popular and trending hashtags that way. When I did it with "dog" I found #doglover #doglove #doglife #dogsarelife #dogsarefamily and #dogmom

So right about hashtags Sharon! As an example, last week when I promoted my trout skin abstracts I used several popular fishing tags and fishermen started following me. LOL yeah! so then I started promoting my vintage fly fishing neck ties from a different platform and 2 of them sold a few days later. I followed them all back and intend to promote more fishy stuff soon.

I've had similar experiences with fishy stuff. :)

aloha from from Dallas, spent a few days visiting my mom (and brothers and families) as my mom was in the hospital and then a rehab place for chest pains, thankfully she is OK but lost a lot of strength, hoping she will be able to spend the summer with me in western MA, but right now back to DC to teach a law class tonight, but got lots of RT already in this morning, and wishing everyone a happy June with LOTS of sales.

Once again, we had our best May ever, and I strongly believe it is due to this campaign! (19 beach towels sold in May, among so many other sales too!).

Another hint, every so often click on someone's link...Twitter does not know you did not buy anything. I click on a few each day...

At first, it may just be increased traffic. You may gain more followers too. Over time, people interact more. And hopefully more sales for everyone!

Has anyone looked at their Pinterest analytics lately? Even though I've pinned more this spring than I had in a long while, all my metrics are down lately, and significantly so (minus ~25%). Sign of the times?
On the upside, I made a print sale this morning.

Western Exposure - I've experienced that in the past as well. I was expecting to see it again since I haven't pinned since may 24 but all of my numbers are on the positive side. For some reason my top impressions are what I pinned on May 13 and May 14.

Congrats on your sales Western Exposure...My Analytics is also down but I have an increase followers due to this fantastic group. Is Pinterest still as relevant as it was? Most of my peers spend their time on "Insta".

My Pinterest numbers are down a little lately.

I believe Pinterest is definitely still relevant. It works totally different than a social media site. I wouldn't worry too much about the numbers, it always slows down some in summer and they just changed the algorithm again a few months ago, but Pinterest is now focusing on the shopping aspect and pins are forever. Pins are indexed with the big search engines so make sure to have good SEO, (keywords with and without hashtags) in your titles and descriptions. Also they are still big on the idea pins and I believe sometime in the future that they will be adding live links to them so if you can, create more of those.

I was RT this morning and clicking links and then I had another idea... while I am on your link anyway, why not pin from your site to some of my Pinterest boards, it only takes a few seconds.

This might be another way to boost our work. So if you are inclined when you click somebody's link to visit the work, share it real quick to your FB or Pinterest if you have them.

A question for everyone. I'm trying to think of a way I can demonstrate (to myself) that a particular promotion idea was successful, and came from a very specific direction. I get sales fairly regularly through FineArtAmerica, Pixels.com and occasionally DesignerPrints, and they appear that way in the emails generated when a sale happens. The question is, has anyone had a sale through their artist website, that came across with that URL (gary-whitton.pixels.com) in the email, or does it come across as FineArtAmerica. I have never had one that showed my artist website URL, so I am assuming I have either never had one through that site, or they simply appear like any other FineArtAmerica purchase. Or perhaps its just the generic Pixels.com URL without our subdomain attached?

I've never seen it...I think Abbie would know. I don't think she lurks in here...So you might have to start a thread where she will answer.

Started to Rt but now seems to have trouble with Twitter. Our electricity is fluctuating this morning after heavy rains overnight. See lots of new people. Questions; is there a trend going on somewhere where dark edges are desired? It makes a small image look super dark. It might look ok on a large scale. Not so great for SM.

Gary, Matthias is right, however the subject line will say pixels or fineartamerica depending. I’ve never paid attention until now, but I looked and sales of prints have Fineartamerica.com new order in the subject line while sales of products say, Pixels.com new order in the subject line. Both coming from the same fineartamerica email address. So the subject line tells you if it’s a sale for prints (FAA) or products (Pixels)

I just reread your post and I have never had a sales notice come from anywhere other than the FAA email.

Asking a favor please? On Twitter: Please put new work up often or at least RT some of your old stuff so it's at the top of your feed for all of us to RT. If you've got nothing new in the upper right sidebar storage or at the top of your feed, it means having to click on your Media tab and scrolling down to try to find something to RT ....VERY time consuming for all and most of us don't have a lot of time to waste. Thanks!

Don't forget Helen...You NEVER have to RT anyone. If you are pressed for time, do what is easiest for you. We all do our best to reciprocate, but some do not make it easy for us to do so. I don't always have time to to go looking through a ton of old tweets, so I do skip sometimes. It's not what I want to do, but it's fair.

Yesterday my DAILY STICKER was my colorful drums. I have not sold any stickers, but I have sold t-shirts of that image today. :) I do not consider it a coincidence...

Sharon ... I kinda disagree that "You NEVER have to RT anyone." Since I chose to participate in this promotion (as everyone who is here has) promoting on SM is the crux of this effort. Gary, my last 17 sales e-mails since February, the score according to my e-mails is 12-5 Fine Art America, 5 have came through pixels. I think the pixels sales are from our AWs as i only promote link backs to my AW.

I retweet those that have retweeted my work, as shown in Notifications. I don’t mind doing the scrolling on those, since they took the time to retweet my work, I am willing to choose an image I am comfortable with having on my Twitter page. If it means looking in the media, I will. Along the way I see what others have retweeted and will retweet images I like, even if they haven’t retweeted me. They may sometime, or perhaps they just missed me.

But with my full schedule, I do what I can, and I know others are doing the same.

I agree, Marie. We all do what we can, often, when we can. One thing I've learned in this life is that people usually get what they give ... sometimes we get a lot more back, sometimes less. It all works out.

We are different than other groups...It isn't a "tit for tat"...It is supposed to be fun and not stressful. If something is stressing you, DON'T do it. Yes, sharing each other's work is why we are here, but it is done in a different fashion. We do the best we can. We don't keep score. Some do like to keep score because that is just how they are. That is certainly fine if that makes you happy, but most of us do not. No one is going to scold you if you skip them. We are all grown ups here. And so I stand by my statement that you NEVER have to RT someone if you do not want to for ANY reason. That reason might be poor quality work, super religious work that isn't in alignment with your beliefs, sexual art, they never put up new work, etc. The minute you start feeling "forced" to do something, it isn't fun. We are a FUN team!! If someone never RT's me, they will eventually get dropped from me because most days I just RT those that RT mine because that is super easy and fast for me to do by looking at my Notifications. I don't care if someone from this group never RT's my work...there are a few that don't. They comment in here, but they don't share my work. I honestly couldn't care less. I focus on the great camaraderie we have here, the knowledge we all share with each other, the results and the fun of sharing the work of others who I enjoy and believe my audience will want to enjoy as well. I mix it up and share randoms all of the time. I RT some that use our hashtags that aren't in our group and don't even use FAA/Pixels...some never reciprocate. It's all good. :)

Right now there are quite a few who are using this shading filter on all their images. They look too dark to me and I can't get myself to Rt them. I keep looking for their normal photographs which don't have that. Overall I try to find a new image and one of quality. I do sometimes Rt people whose work I like but never RT me. I have done so also with artists Twitter recommended and gotten new followers this way. Between tweeting and Rt, ing builds your followers, find non-artists. Folks who share an interest with you and can relate to your work. I try to Rt twice but some days that is not possible. Tomorrow is one of those days. I will be super busy. Kudos to all your sales that is fantastic.

I agree with the super dark images...Sometimes I honestly cannot even tell what I am looking at. It is like photographing a flower in the dark. I am not sure what the vision of the photographer is, but I also will search for something distinguishable to RT. I RARELY skip someone...hardly ever, but if I do, it's for a good reason. If you want to skip me next time...go for it! I don't work that way, but it is ok if you do. We don't have any rules here. If you RT others, they tend to RT you. It
s that simple. You don't have to RT someone for ANY reason. But the more people you RT, the more that reciprocate (because we tend to do that) and that makes this campaign more successful for you. It doesn't benefit you to skip someone in that respect. I hate to do it, but I don't want my followers to think I endorse certain things including poor quality images.

Also, if you ever want a break from doing this, just take one. You don't even have to explain yourself unless you just want to. Jump back in anytime you decide to. It's flexible. Now, you may not get any RT's while you are gone, but that shouldn't stop you from taking a needed pause.

Most of us tend to continue to RT others who are sick or on vacation. Cuz we generally love being a TEAM and have that spirit. For example: I will go and scroll through Chads Media to find something to RT even if he hasn't done me in awhile, because he isn't feeling well and I like Chad. It's not a bother for me to do that. I know when he comes back he will support me. He always has.

Keep it simple. Keep it fun. Keep learning!

You can pin them to Buy into art board or any of my other group boards if you want to, but I have just been pinning to random other boards, I have hundreds of boards because I've been on Pinterest for 10 years. Also if you don't want to pin any that is fine too. Pinning helps me as much as it helps the one I am pinning so I don't mind doing it when I have time but I am not pinning every single one that I RT either, just randomly.

Just sold a huge print of my DAILY STICKER from 2 days ago...It's an image that used to sell really well, but had dried up for a very long time. I am trying to revive interest in older images that don't sell anymore or not as well. I am doing great with the stickers. It seems you can get them in your store with a 7.00 sticker and they buy something else sometimes. I include the price in my image...7.00 because it's so cheap. A lot of people think they cannot afford art, so this lets them know they can. I have sold some stickers too. :)

With that said, I may start using #DailySticker if anyone else wants to join in.

I got the idea for the stickers because I have been around long enough with online art selling to remember ACO's which were and possibly still are a form of artists trading cards. They were small, fun and affordable. I collected them from artists I liked and many collected them from me. They were originals usually, but the concept is the same with stickers...small, fun, collectible and affordable. #DailySticker will be added to my hashtags for them.

Also, it is one of the oldest sales techniques in the book. Get them in your store with a lower priced item and when they shop around, they buy something of greater value. :)

I stopped all my marketing for a few days. I am making important updates to my website. Hope to start over next week.

re dark images: Not sure whether you were talking about me, but I'm quite deep into dark, grungy and distressed work. I also love dark food photography. It;s a thing. But I don't expect folks to RT what they don't like. I don't either. I try to keep a certain 'feel' to my Twitter feed and I'd never blame anyone if they did the same with theirs. On Insta I 'like' pretty much all our campaign works as it does not directly impact what my followers see in their feed - it just promotes overall. I don't do lists or keep score or whatever.

Reading @Kall3bu's post, I cannot quite figure out how to retweet an old tweet from the statistics page. I go to statistics, select the dates I want and do see all my tweets. I click on a given tweet and see all the tweet activity, but, I do not see the link to retweet? If someone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to say that while I am not an active poster in this thread I am here several times a day absorbing all the wonderful advice and that I am a very active participant in this group on Twitter. I also want to say a huge thank you to Sharon for her creativity in coming up with the idea and to all of you in this group whose participation is vital to success. Without a doubt, this is the single most successful marketing campaign I have ever been involved in - and I've tried lots of things.

Ouch, my numbers are down by more than half today despite same number of sm posts across the board. Is that just me?

I don't really look at the numbers much unless someone says something in here...I just looked. Mine are a nearly straight line for the past week...and today is on track to be the same as normal.

Yes, Sharon you are using to time honored marketing trick called "loss leader" with your daily sticker. I like that idea but I have so much trouble doing "daily" things with consistancy, I may try it and hope noone notices if I miss a day here and there. haha

I also noticed that FAA is now offering paypal payment plans too but you must get the shopper to the page before they will see that there is an option to pay in 4 interest free payments. I have been hoping that would be the clincher for those who think they can't afford to buy wall art.

I have never even looked at my twitter stats. lol have to do that soon. looking at my Pinterest stats is usually depressing so I quit.

Looking at my stats here I see that Twitter is the main traffic driver. all the images I tweet get at least 5 times more traffic than any of my others, however I always get alot of index bot visits on the rest of my images too when I am active on Twitter.

Hi Shelli you should try Scheduling your posts for consistency. I’ve setup a weeks campaign with #dailysticker yesterday on all my platforms. For Twitter and Pinterest I just schedule the post and for FB/Insta I use Creator Studio. It works great. When ever I load a new image on FAA, I also setup scheduled posts with items of that image for later in the week.

I know that we are a group that uses lists for retweet. My question, I was invited to join a retweet list not associated with our group, which I did about 3 days ago. Since then, my numbers on FAA have plummeted. Am I missing something. I see some of our members say in their profile "no lists."

My recent experience is (latest 28 day Twitter analytics): Tweets down 20% (that's just me) but Impressions down 40%! And the images that garnered the most impressions were outside the campaign. Might Twitter be shadow-banning our campaign?
Unlike Deborah though I haven't seen any change in FAA stats lately; it's very steady at around 180 "visitors"/day and the Twitter links do appear to continue to attract the bots.

Just Rt my first round. If you guys love honeybees you have to visit my first upload today. This girl was posing for me. I would consider this beekeeper adultery art. I had a great spike a few days ago and then a sharp drop. I have no clue what changed.

Well I have had a good 2 days so far, sold 2 small prints and a 10 pack of greeting cards - 2 were through the site discount and 1 through Google Advertisement, my first ever! Of course you don't get your full profit but a sale is a sale and I didn't lose much so I am happy!

Good idea Carine, I actually do schedule posts sometimes on Twitter and Pinterest but even that can be time consuming. But it is great advice!

Pinterest is mostly depressing to me since the last time they changed the algo and I went from 3 million monthly views to 600 thousand. But the good news is I still see results from them so maybe that stat is not such a big deal afterall. :)

Just a little reminder that what REALLY makes this campaign work is Retweeting and Sharing others. It's so simple. And it actually works.

If you barely participate...just enough to get everyone to RT and share your work, it won't last. The core group has been at this for over 6 months now....we are serious about it being a TEAM effort. It's not tit for tat...But it doesn't take much effort to figure out who is "all in" and who is just in it for themselves. It's the one place where selfishness actually works against you.

You want EVERYONE RTing and sharing your work so that MORE people see it! Even if you don't like someone for some reason, if they've got followers, you want your work in front of their eyeballs. Personalities clash...it's true. But I just try to look for the good in everyone. There is always something positive to find in people and then I go with that. Then I can do it all with a happy heart. I've noticed some folks just RT the same few people which are probably their friends or people they know from other groups. You can absolutely do it that way. We have no rules. But the campaign may not work for you and their is no reason to come in here and complain later that it didn't work.

The plan is simple. Be a part of a TEAM. RT and share as many on the TEAM as possible. They will do the same for you. Then watch your SM grow, your traffic increase and sales come (this can take time).

Also, remember...It's Summer!! It's the slowest time of the year for art sales. Traffic is down. Sales are down. It's just part of the ebb and flow....So you will not be able to fully judge this campaign until you've made it through the Holiday and Winter Season.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't work over the Summer. I've found it's the best time to prepare for the Holiday Rush!! Get your new work out there and indexed so it can be found when the buying season begins!!

Great post Sharon, it’s simply a great team and campaign to be part of, i’m seeing more participants getting sales, Congrats Shelli on your sales i saw on twitter. As Sharon points out, it’s all about getting eyeballs on Art and not just our own. Spark curiosity and viewers will tap your link and probably the link in your bio, you’ll notice these when viewers check out your profile.

I just done a round of retweets on both of my Twitter accounts and added a couple of Queen Elizabeth 70yr Platinum Jubilee images, fingers crossed i get a couple of sales from those.

There actually are no rules...just suggestions to those that want to be successful. If you don't want to be successful then you can not RT other people, not follow people, etc. If you don't follow the TEAM's lead, you will not have the successes the TEAM is having. Don't feel bad if someone isn't "all in" and you don't follow them or RT them. That is your choice (and theirs)!!

For the first time today I looked at my Twitter analytics and a few things jumped out at me.

One was that my pinned tweets have the highest numbers on all points.

Another was what they called my top mention... it was from a person who is not on the team and also doesn't use the hashtags we use. He is an ebay seller ( I am too and that is why I follow some of them) He RT one of my wall art posts and gave me an @ mention and the analytics say that RT earned 11 engagements. If I am correct those engagements are what we are really after... link clicks, closer looks etc... So anyway I went to that tweet and thanked him for it and retweeted some of his in gratitude.

They also told me who my top follower is... she is an author with 102K followers. I made sure I was following her back ( I was) and also gave her a couple of RTs.

Mostly I retweet the team but I think it is good to engage people outside of art circles too in the hopes that they will become buyers. I follow and retweet authors because my mom is a self published author now and I will be helping her promote her book as soon as it comes out... (soon!)

Any way I wanted to share that data for what it's worth. I am not really a data person... but I do believe in networking and reciprocal promoting. I like that this team can help each other and be happy when one of us has a sale.

Thanks Doug for the congrats on my sales. (they are mostly from a different platform but I have all confidence that when I have put the same time and effort in at faa, sales will happen more often for me here too.)

Something else just popped into my mind... on one of my other sites when new people ask why they get no immediate sales the best answer is always "keep working at it, plugging along and don't give up, this is a marathon, not a sprint."

Retweeted, liked, and commented for all the people who showed up in my notifications. When I retweet, they get retweeted by others that follow me, and are not necessarily from the TEAM. Today, (although this happens a lot), someone retweeted 22 of my retweets, only one was something of mine. Of course, I have mentioned this before. Retweeting benefits everyone, and I do the best I can. I first start with my feed and see some from the TEAM and some not. If I like what I see I will retweet it, like it, and even make a comment. I have no idea if they have retweeted my work or not. I figure, somewhere, sometime, they will. As my mother always told me, "it all comes out in the wash."

Many of the members of the TEAM I never interacted with before Sharon got us all going. I know who some are due to the Community Forums, or from groups. I read a lot what people have to say, and you get to know them, without them even knowing you are doing so. So, I feel as though I know them from afar. Hopefully I am spreading the love around. I am trying to do so, anyway.

I have gotten together a lot of work to Tweet. I hope to do so later.

I am really liking the look of the sticker tweets that Sharon and a few others have figured out how to do with the price below the sticker. Would anyone be willing to share how to make this sort of tweet (the image with price below). I spent some time on it earlier today and never got it figured out. Thank you in advance ;)

@Deborah...I just search FAA for "Sharon Cummings Stickers" and they come up showing the prices. I enlarge my screen to 250% so it's nice and big. I then do a cropped screenshot of it with the price. I have a Mac and Shift Command 4 to get the little cropping screenshot tool. I am sooooo not techy...I hope I described it well.

I follow the exact same process as Sharon, also on the Mac. The Snippet tool will also work well. Then I also make use of Gimp which is an awesome free "PhotoShop" tool.

Congratulations on your sale, Sharon! I really like your idea of screenshotting images with the prices. It's giving me some ideas for using that in other ways, like getting a screenshot of the shower curtain page, for example. I can see eight shower curtains with their prices. I'm not sure if that would be effective, but it's worth a try. I once posted a collage of pillows on FB, and someone told me that seeing them together like that made her want to explore more, and she clicked the link. It didn't result in a sale (yet), but it did get her attention.

We all try things...It's great when we report back to each other! So let us know how it goes Jodi. :)

@sharon, thank you for the instructions. One question. I also have a Mac. When you enlarge the screen, you're doing that on the page that shows all your stickers correct? and how exactly do you enlarge the screen? I googled this and came up with lot of steps to enlarge the screen and then need to reverse. I'm thinking you must have a simpler method I don't know about. Thanks in advance for your help :)

It's been a few years since I have actively promoted my art, my last kid just graduated High School, I have more time and I'm ready to jump back in!

My best tip for the group is to start using Canva.com to create graphics that show your art in actual rooms.
- this works best with a Pro account ($12.95 per month), but you can do it with a free account.

Steps:
- Upload images of your work to Canva (best if you can organize them into folders that match your galleries)
- Start a new design (size it according to the social media or blog size you want to share)
- Once you have your design started, then use the search field on the left in the "Images" section - search for the "room" then the word "interior" -ex. "living room interior"
- this will bring up a TON of rooms - click the room to add it to the post
- then go to the folder that has your art. Click on an art image to "add it to the room"

Once you have your art in the room, simply download it and share

Rules are simple here. There are no rules. LOL What we suggest is that you Share and Retweet others and everyone generally reciprocates. It's that simple. No one is keeping score. We keep it light and fun. Some of us are a bit more concerned about everything being perfectly reciprocal, but that's up to you. Life is too stressful for most of us to worry non-stop about tit for tat. The more your participate, the more benefits you get. Everyone is encouraged to build their followings on the various SM sites, share, like, comment on other's posts. We use an anchor hashtag so we can find each other #BuyIntoArt and right now we are also using #FindArtThisSummer

We experiment and report back. We share knowledge. It's a learning community too!

READ my OP and read all of the TIPS. You can scan the thread for tidbits.

You can make it as complicated or as stress free as you like. It really is a mindset. I've gotten great results by not stressing at all. When I caught myself starting to, I readjusted my thinking.

Instagram now lets you pin 3 photos to the top of your profile! It’s a great idea to pin a photo of you introducing yourself to the top so any new followers get to see that first! Just go to the photo you want, click the three dots in the right corner and select pin to profile!

Thanks for the tip Omaste...but that must only be for PRO accounts. I don't have one. The reason is that on Facebook, everything was amazing until I went PRO...now I am invisible. They only show me if I give them crap tons of money. And that never led to sales. So I suspect that it would be similar on IG if I upgraded to PRO. Invisible. Right now I am being seen and liked by lots of people. I am making sales too on IG....so not gunna upgrade!!!

@Kall3bu....I sell tons of t-shirts and I never link to Pixels. If you click on ANY product...."Additional Products" magically appear beneath that product (try it). It's ALL of the products offered on Pixels. So you can see them all even if logged into FAA. That was smart of FAA to do when they introduced Pixels.

I appreciate the IG tips and will use them! Originally, I joined IG because my Granddaughter was posting videos of my Great Granddaughter there! I did start posting my artwork there, but it wasn't my main purpose. I have a PRO account and should be using it better. It's a great place to follow art galleries and get followed back by them!

Too much fun. I'm all caught up with everyone for the last 24 hours or so, then IG shut me down from commenting too much. OOPS.

IG is the most restrictive SM I've ever been on...They let me follow 15ish people at a time. They don't like me to unfollow more than about 9 at a time...I am lucky if I get to make 5 comments...I kid you not! I have never been allowed to comment on more than 5 posts at a time ever. What??? Isn't it about being "social"...I am also capped at about 25 likes per session. So it's slow going there, but I plug along....

@Sharon, I too get blocked after liking a certain number of posts, but if I leave and come back, it's seen as a new session. My workaround. RTs 1st round done.

@ Kall3bu I had the pleasure of spending a week in Kalimantan Tengah back in 2010, in Palangkaraya and Sebangau National Park. A brief but unforgettable introduction to Indonesian culture. There was a young photographer from Yogya with us too, Hengky Kukuy. He was just finishing college then - not sure whether he turned photography into a profession. Anyway, thanks for the video. Brings back some nice memories.

Yes, that's him. He has married since and has a kid. His Twitter has been dormant for years. We're still connected on FB but I haven't checked in quite some time. Very nice young man. We had great fun on the trip.

All done for the night, added some to IG, Twitter & My FB page.

Tip: I copy and paste my tweets from Twitter to FB (i add more info) i then copy and paste the FB post to IG where i encourage tapping/clicking the link in my bio and tell the viewer to go to the collection where the image i’m promoting can be viewed.

For me it saves time sharing to the various social media sites.

I can also use the FB posts to post to Pinterest, although i get lazy by the time i’ve done the 1st two of the above, i should do all 4 at the same sitting.

IG never used to be like that before FB bought it. I thought about going back but not if it is like that... I was on there back between 2010 and 2015 and it used to be a lot of fun. Of course I wasn't selling anything then either... anyway.

TBH, I think that's good because apart from spam I hate nothing more on IG than that follow/unfollow carry-on and not being able to follow or unfollow large numbers of people puts a bit of a lid on it. IG must be the only place in the known universe where 100+10=95. :)

Got in 3 rounds yesterday. Finished one round this morning. Will get another later today but first Mom has plans for me. She wants me to take everything out of her garage, wash the garage floors, let it dry and then put everything back today in 90+ degree weather. Did I mention her garage is FULL!!! @KatieDobies...This is so much MORE than just adding a hashtag to your posts. You will not benefit from just doing that. So no need to add it unless you want to be a part of the TEAM and follow our lead. Read the OP and the TIPS...We cross promote each other. The hashtag is just a way to find each other. But we all know who participates and it's those people that get shared and Retweeted by the TEAM

QUESTION: What do ya'll do with people - just random ppl you've never seen before, who leave a nasty comment on your image or who use the comment only to advertise their own work? They don't even RT your image, just put a short spiel and a link to their own work. I had both happen this week and I blocked both. Not everyone is going to like my work and that's OK but I do not want the negativity in my feed. Send me a PM if you feel you must disparage my work and don't advertise YOUR work on MY images. Geesh! Just wondering how everyone handles stuff like this if it's ever happened to you.

EDIT: Also, does anyone know what it means when your image shows someone left a comment but when you click on the image, there's no comment there? This has happened off and on over the last few years.

I block people for ANY reason I choose. Obviously that was your instinct...Go with it!

Helen, I've had some of those that only post their ads to my images as comments; I block them. I block some that start DM'ing me with messages unrelated to my images/work. I, also, "leave conversations" when tagged with multiple people in a DM and I "mute conversations" when tagged in a comment with multiple people to better manage and see the mentions that actually related to my work.

Managed two rounds yesterday. Starting round one for today shortly...

@HH You can report spammers very easily on Twitter. Just click on the 3 dots beside the date of the comment > Report Tweet > It's suspicious or spam.

Re. your second question: I suspect they are comments from accounts that were deleted for spamming or other infringements, but I'm not sure. I've seen it too at times.

Just another minor tip for everyone:

frequently I see some artists retweet other work through my retweet but then not retweeting MY work. Let me explain. It is often easier to just retweet when you see someone's work, but if it is someone else's retweet of the original artist's work, then the second artist is the one who sees that you retweeted. This happens to me daily. I do not mind if you do not like our work enough to retweet it, but please do not show me your retweeting my retweets of someone else! Plus I am not sure if the original artists gets the notification, as I know I get a notification that you retweeted my retweet.

In case that was confusing here is another explanation of this phenomena: Artist A tweets, I like that tweet and retweet it (and sometimes comment, and sometimes click on the link all to help them). I then see that Artist B has retweeted MY retweet of original Artist A's tweet, but never retweeted any of my tweets. I see a notification of that. I also see that typically Artist B has not retweeted anything of mine or liked anything of mine at all. Click on Artist A and retweet directly!

Melinda I have seen that as well and I do think that sometimes people just don't look at the tweet and assume they are RT'ing my work when they are not in reality, they are RT'ing my RT - It would be nice if everyone took the second it takes to make sure it is the tweet of the person that you are wanting to RT

@CMD....It happens to me all of the time. I don't sweat it at all. I go down my notifications and I RT everyone who has RT my personal work. Then I search the hashtag and RT some I just happen to like. This works out well for me. No worrying about or being upset by what others are doing or not doing. :)

Melinda, it's an easy mistake to make. I think you're right, Debbie. We do need to take a moment to be sure of what we're RTing. I've caught myself almost doing this a couple of times.

Yes I agree, the more RT the better and it does not really matter in the long run (and the algorithms might even be helped for all I know for RTing a RT)!

I only mention it because if you are trying to help the original artist they may not get a notification and see that! Instead the Retweeter sees it.

But again to each his own and who knows the secret sauce that helps something go viral.

@CMD...One way to cut down on it is to always make sure to RT a handful of your own, so when ppl come to your page, they see a bunch of yours before getting to your RTS of others.

First round done, I always make sure that I have at least 3 of mine at the top of my feed but that is when I am finished RT'ing everyone else then I add mine

Seems like retweeting retweets happens mostly when people are tweeting from the home feed. It's easy to miss that detail that way.

For our team I always go the the hashtag and sort by latest.

I ignore all DMs from people I don't know, and would block rude people like the ones mentioned here.

I don't pay attention to lists that much, I have had people (strangers) put me on their lists and that doesn't really bother me. I kind of look at it as another way to get more reach.

I often RT an RT but always make sure I've gotten everyone on this campaign team . I start with Notifications and then search #BuyIntoArt and RT some more there. Along the way is where I usually RT an RT.

Yes Helen...It's ok. You don't have to RT them unless you want to or they RT you. When you've got a good thing going, people jump on! Some are hoping for free RTs and they dont have to do anything but use the hashtag. Hashtags are free to use by anyone. It's just the way it is. So you can decide if you want to RT randoms. I sometimes do because they start RTing me. :)

The more people we can get using the hashtag the better chance we have of trending! I retweet them just to encourage them to use it again. :)

I noticed the pixels email today and was looking through the twitter feed and noticed that the people who had posted about the discount that none of the pixel links have a number on it like mine which has a 3 in front of it. Do I still use that link for the sale?
