ASL American Sign Language Art

This group gives recognition to art that is based on American Sign Language - ASL. American Sign Language is its own language; it is NOT a translation of English or any other language. It is visual. It is movement. It is art. Anyone who has ever seen a song performed in ASL knows how beautifully the movement portrays the meaning. In this group, we will show the beauty of sign in another element - Visual Art.

To Collectors: We hope to offer you a variety of offerings in ASL Art, paintings that are as unique as the language.

To Artists: Please share with us your ASL paintings, noting that this group is ONLY FOR PAINTINGS - NO photographs, please. Paintings can be done with a brush or digitally, as long as you limit the subject matter to American Sign Language. Submit up to 3 a day. You are welcome in our group.
