Currently residing in San Diego, CA., Nathan Ledyard creates art depicting waves and ocean scenes using a unique combination of materials and techniques that push the boundaries of two-dimensional painting. Often painting from a “surfers point of view,” Nathan’s work conveys the feeling of being in the water and a part of the sea. Nathan has always felt a strong connection with the ocean, though having grown up in rural Pennsylvania, it was always far away and intangible. It wasn’t until he took time off from college to travel to Australia that he was finally able realize his dream of living by the ocean and learning to surf.
