Description
I approached this painting differently than my norm. Usually I paint from photos I have taken and make subtle changes, so that the final result is fairly like the original photograph. However, in this case I had an image in my mind's eye that I couldn't let go of. I did use two separate photos as references for the leaves, but this painting is largely from my imagination and not real life. As a result, it has an 'animated' quality to it.
