Description
I had a big Rhododendron bush gracing the brick patio of my garden in Seattle. The blooms always start as a beautiful soft pink, then age to white, the point that I captured this cluster. The original painting was my first full sheet watercolor painting, twice as big as the ones I'd been working on and is so much more impactful so now I work almost exclusively on the full sheet size. I was honored to have it juried into the SAWE watercolor show for signature members of any US watercolor society in spring of 2015. The original was purchased by a collector in Anacortes, WA and the print rights are currently assigned to a client in Portland, OR. The image is available for other products available on this site!
The art is professionally photographed which will make reproductions impossible to discern from the original painting other than the deckle edge of the painting which is part of the original art.
I was honored to be the gold medal winning poster artist for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in 2016 with my watercolor painting of a tulip bouquet.
In 2012 I qualified to be a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS). This is earned by being juried into a select number of local chapter and international watercolor society shows sponsored by NWWS. The initials now follow my signature on recent watercolor paintings that you can see in the Floralscapes section of this shop.
